Bordeaux Gardens
Organised by the SHG (Gironde Horticultural Society) on the occasion of its 180th anniversary, the exhibition entitled ‘Bordeaux Jardins’ presents the fascinating story of Bordeaux’ gardens over the centuries, from the Middle Ages to the present day. This exhibition proposes an original scenography, in the manner of a cabinet of curiosities and including not only drawings, engravings and botanical illustrations, but also a range of objects from private collections and from the Bordeaux Botanic Gardens. The exhibition will be held in the chapter house and in the courtyard where several landscaped compositions on the theme of urban gardens have been created by the Bordeaux Métropole green spaces department and the Camille Godard horticultural college.
