Conference ‘Lost paradises: the colonisation of landscapes and destruction of eco-anthroposystems’
The idea that nature, as an essential and vital space for humans, has been forever contaminated by an irreversible destructive process, has generated a worldwide manifestation of disillusionment, symbolising the loss of one of human existence’s fundamental sources of balance.
This conference aims at contributing, with the scientific community and beyond, through the elaboration of knowledge on images, texts and site transformations, towards the current movement of the environmental humanities that strives to overcome the duality between nature and culture and to rethink human action on Earth, in the face of climatic and ecological emergencies.
