Du jardin médiéval au jardin du XVIIe siècle by Danièle PYTEL – Château de Bénouville

From the medieval to the 17th century garden

Focusing on the example of the Abbey of Saint-Georges in Boscherville, in Seine Maritime, Danièle Pytel hopes to demonstrate how the gardens of a certain number of Romanesque abbeys built by Maurist monks have evolved from medieval style to French formal style.
