All the garden paths lead to the kitchen

Brittany’s Institute of Gardens and Landscapes will be taking two days to explore all the garden paths that lead to the kitchen. Come and relish over a history of cultural practices, from the earliest agricultural enclosures to the present-day permaculture vegetable plots that offer old vegetables, via short distribution channels, to gourmet restaurant owners and chefs. You’ll discover the virtuous techniques of these farmers who, in association with their partners in the kitchen, favour quality and the return of forgotten flavours, in full respect of the soil and the seasons. An afternoon workshop will offer you an opportunity to learn how to use wild plants in cooking, another will offer you a behind-the-scenes insight into the work of an organic market gardener, who will unveil his secrets. Lunch will offer a further opportunity for exchange, and a gourmet break over two meals concocted and commented by six renowned Breton chefs.
