A journey through Europe. Discovering Renaissance gardens
This conference proposes a journey through 21st-century Europe. Sometimes forgotten, sometimes mysterious, sometimes famous, these gardens bear witness to the splendour of Italy at the time of the House of Medici, Spain during the Golden Age, or England under Henry VIII. We therefore invite you to embark on an exploration of European countries amidst the fountains, flower beds, grottos and loggias overlooking the landscape. The humanistic art of living is embodied in these spaces where the pleasures and the sophistication of European civilisation are equally expressed through their beauty and in the set they provided for play, poetry and theatre.
