Arranged on islands, the gardens and plastic installations of the International Garden Festival | Hortillonnages Amiens form a poetic journey that invites you to take a fresh, curious, or amused look at this unique environment, its history, and its future. It is also a gentle exploration, on foot or by boat, that allows for questioning the connections between nature, culture, agriculture, and heritage in light of the numerous impacts caused by climate change.
Spread across different plots located on the Clermont pond in Camon and Rivery, as well as on the Île aux Fagots in Amiens, the forty-six productions fully integrate contemporary issues of sustainable development and environmental challenges into their reflection and design: the preservation of the ecosystem, the vulnerability of riverbanks, water resources, food production, and the quality of nutrition.
