Conversations sous l’arbre – Chaumont-sur-loire (France)
25-26 April 2025
Nature’s fragrances
Subtle yet powerful, smells are those invisible impressions that shape our memories, our emotions and our perception of the world. From the delicate scent of the undergrowth after the rain to the suavity of a glycine in bloom, from the sacred swirls of incense, whose notes are skilfully composed by the perfumer, to ‘Nature’s fragrances’, they all invite us to immerse ourselves in a sensory and cultural experience. Elusive yet deeply rooted in our memory, they call into question our intimate links with the environment, imbuing philosophy, science and art. They are a language in their own right, one that is as sensitive and symbolic as it is universal. The first edition of Conversations sous l’arbre (Conversations under the tree), in 2025, will propose an original journey through a medley of history, art and imagination, intertwining to bring just meaning to our sense of smell, to invite us to inhale them differently, totally and freely.
