Water in the garden!

Interventions on selected sites in the Centre-Val de Loire region, from ancient times to the present day, unveiling how water determines landscape and garden design.
The aim of this one-day event focusing on water in the landscape and in gardens is to demonstrate how water – in whatever form, visible or not – determines how landscapes and gardens are developed. Furthermore, the event will offer an insight into how, as both a decorative and functional feature of gardens, water produces different effects (from mirror to jet), whilst simultaneously conditioning the elaboration and the very structure of artificial landscape (parks and gardens).
