Art as a medium of communication at Central German courts: residences and gardens around 1800

Gardens and residences are interrelated and influence each other in their creation, development and significance. The conference aims to explore this interaction, which has so far received insufficient attention in garden and residence research. The focus will be on central German court and residence towns with their gardens from the present-day regions of Hesse, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony.
