The secret gardens of the German Bundestag

These gardens are used for respite and conviviality by members of parliament and staff, and their architecture is sophisticated and enhanced with art installations.

This presentation will highlight the results of a degree dissertation documenting this hitherto poorly studied collection. It will offer an initial assessment on heritage conservation, together with insight into the question of the public nature of political spaces.
