The garden crossing

This travelling exhibition offers a discovery of gardens from the Middle Ages to the present day, via a series of artistic creations and video installations evoking – in turn – the medieval garden, a place of courtly love, then the Renaissance garden, home to nymphs, grottos and fountains and, finally, the Baroque garden, a theatrical set where marvels emerge.
This garden crossing continues via the 18th-century English landscaped garden, designed like a painting, the ‘natural’ 19th-century garden – the artist’s garden, and the enchanted gardens of tales and legends.
