Medieval and Tudor Gardens – Oxford (United Kingdom)
Gardens were an important part of the medieval and Tudor world, but have been difficult to understand owing to poor survival. In recent years, however, there has been an upsurge of interest in them, and this weekend will present a selection of current research and new thinking, based on archaeological, art-historical, historical, and literary sources.
