Rendez-vous aux jardins
Since 2003, this event organized every first weekend of June by the Ministry of Culture invites you to discover the richness and variety of parks and gardens throughout the territory, and even in Europe (see box). Beyond its aesthetic and festive dimension, this event is an opportunity to highlight the actions of garden owners, private and public and the Ministry of Culture to restore, preserve, maintain and enhance parks and gardens. Last year, more than 2,200 venues opened their doors to the general public, including more than 400 for the first time.
Like the colours of the gardens, which change with the seasons, the event is renewed each year with a different theme. After climate change in 2022 and music in 2023, «The five senses in the garden» will be at the heart of the 2024 edition. A choice that resonates as a return to the essential: after all, is not the primary vocation of the garden to awaken all our senses?
