This exhibition illustrates how, in his twilight years, Louis-Henri de Bourbon-Condé, ex leader of the Fronde who was banished but subsequently pardoned and Louis XIV’s former military leader, developed a passion for flowers, collected bulbs and spent lavish sums with the sole ambition of embellishing Chantilly.
