Grandeur Nature – Varengeville-sur-Mer (France)

The Grandeur Nature festival is looking to create a brand new artistic style associated with landscape, and to share it as widely as possible, on the fundamental bases of Land Art, a contemporary art movement born in the United States in the late 1960s. This discipline uses the natural setting and its resources as the land artist’s muse and playground.
Sylvain Ristori, Erick Fourrier, Thierry Teneul and Michèle Trotta are the four visual artists selected by the jury among some 75 applications received following the call for proposals. Their proposed installations – original, often monumental, in line with the scale of the landscape and created with materials offered by the natural environment, will be visible for six months.
Festival organised within the framework of the Normandy Impressionist programme.
