The Meuse through its gardens
Be it public or private, a garden is the evocation of the art of living, whilst unveiling history and gardening techniques of which archives have long since borne witness.
This exhibition touches on the question of these – often enclosed – organic areas, developed for culture or for adornment and the pleasure of our senses.
Through local examples, the exhibition will cover the major periods in the art of gardens, from the Middle Ages to the picturesque landscapes of the 18th and 19th centuries, undoubtedly the most common in the Meuse department.
