L’architecture de la voie. Histoire et théories by Eric Alonzo – Brussells (Belgium)
Because our landscapes are invariably criss-crossed by roads, thoroughfares and ring roads, we often only consider the technical and functional aspects of a “road”. During this lecture, Éric Alonzo will explore another unexpected dimension. In his book ‘Architecture de la voie. Histoire et théories’, Alonzo explores the history of the road from a number of paradigms, of which ‘the garden’ is undoubtedly the most surprising element. The publication received an honourable mention from the jury of the René Pechère literary prize (2020), which was chaired by architecture critic François Chaslin.
