The wonderful world of bark
The photographer, botanist and landscaping engineer Cédric Pollet has been travelling the world for over fifteen years in search of the finest tree barks. Following the great success of his two books Bark, Volumes 1 and 2 (published by Ulmer/Lincoln), of which several tens of thousands have been sold, he invites us to share the intimacy of the trees that populate our forests, via a quite unique exhibition. This exhibition is a concentration of his best photographic works and his most remarkable bark samples (his bark collection is one of the finest in the world). You will discover a vast array of samples, arranged by family or botanical genus in Phloioboxes, in order to offer an insight into the great diversity of barks that can be found within the same plant group.
