Le Jardin botanique de Vauville, l’acclimatation de plantes exotiques dans le Nord-Cotentin par Eric PELLERIN – Château de Bénouville

Vauville Botanical Garden : acclimation of exotic plants in the northern Cotentin peninsula

Eric Pellerin will give a talk on the story of the Vauville Botanical Garden’s creation, by his grandfather, and on the extension undertaken by his parents. He will guide visitors over a virtual tour of the site, whilst explaining the challenges involved in its positive development and describing the life of the Antarctic flora that thrives within the garden over a succession of verdant chambers which are a genuine invitation to explore truly exotic landscapes.

Eric Pellerin

Eric Pellerin is a documentary producer and director and is a cinema enthusiast. He has been looking after the garden with his mother and his brother since he was a child. For the past 10 years, he has been in charge of the site’s communication, but on a day-to-day basis he also looks after its maintenance and the creation of new garden areas, imagined with his father, Guillaume Pellerin. Ongoing heritage preservation that nevertheless strives to gradually develop visits in keeping with modern technology.
