Le Nôtre’s influence in the 20th century

Jean-Pierre Le Dantec

Jean-Pierre le Dantec studied at the Ecole Centrale in Paris where he obtained an Engineering degree in 1966. After several positions as a mathematics teacher, Jean-Pierre Le Dantec studied at the Paris – la Villette School of Architecture from 2001 to 2006. In 1995, he contributed towards the creation of the DEA (postgraduate diploma) entitled “Gardens, landscapes, territories”. In 2013, he took over from Michel Baridon as administrator of the Fondation des Parcs et Jardins de France (French Foundation of Parks and Gardens). Amidst his prolific literary and scientific works, the art of gardens and landscapes has always played a leading role.
