Olga Medvedkova is a doctor in history and civilisation at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Graduate School of Social Science) and former student at the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art (National Institute of the History of Art). She is a holder of the HDR (French habilitation to direct research work) at the University of Paris-IV. She is a CNRS researcher since 2008. Her book Jean-Baptiste Alexandre Le Blond, architecte. De Paris à Saint-Pétersbourg was awarded the Marianne Rolland Michel Prize. She is the author of several works and articles on the history of Russian art, the history and theory of architecture and modern photography. Her play entitled Au-dessus de Saint-Pétersbourg offers a retrospective insight into the period of Peter the Great.
