The garden cities of Wallonia – Liege (Belgium)
The Commission royale des Monuments, Sites et Fouilles (Royal committee for monuments, sites and excavation) will be welcoming Mr Pierre Frankignoulle. His talk will take visitors through the 19th century history of towns, which were totally transformed consequent to the Industrial Revolution. It will cover the historic foundations of the “garden city” concept, together with the theoretical bases and the various modalities for applying this model in Belgium and in Wallonia.
