Organised around seven themes (landscape, design, water, botany, art, sociality and knowledge), the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the history of Italian gardens, from the Renaissance to the present day. A rich iconographic corpus – combining old plans and photos, botanical plates and works of art – leads to the discovery of an extraordinary heritage of private villas and gardens, public parks and contemporary installations.
