The aim of the “La Normandie des Jardins” (The Normandy of Gardens) exhibition is to invite the public to (re)discover Normandy’s parks and gardens, be they private or public, to grasp their history, explore their botanical wealth and to gain awareness on preserving landscaped, plant and architectural heritage.

Within the context of the recently unified region of Normandy, the Institut Européen des Jardins & Paysages is keen to invite the public on a stroll through Normandy’s gardens, which will be illustrated via an exhibition tour enhanced with illustrated panels including both visual features and text.

Private gardens, public gardens and parks will be presented over a vast collection of photographs and detailed descriptions. Sketches, plans, engravings and paintings will also accompany the exhibition and will offer an improved insight into the history of gardens and the work accomplished for their design and artistic representation.
