This photographic exhibition by Frédéric Soreau will offer an insight into different types of Japanese gardens, distinguishable through their design and form: landscaped, moss, zen, for tea and literature, and contemporary gardens.
Presented in both colour and monochrome, his photographs offer a sensitive and contrasting approach to these different worlds. The whole combines to form an invitation to contemplate and develop knowledge, in particular via the work of the illustrious landscaper Mirei Shigemori, a key figure in 20th-century Japanese garden design.
