For living landscapes

Loïc Mareschal is a landscaper and founder of the Phytolab landscaping agency. Resolutely focused on operational aspects, the agency approaches projects by considering the stage offered by the landscape itself. Their work has earned praise through several regional, national and international distinctions. The agency’s work, via an asserted respect for the site itself, is based on its intrinsic qualities, their origins and potential, together with the development of uses. Thanks to several completed or ongoing projects, Loïc Mareschal will present his vision of ‘modest and great’ landscapes, and the challenges they face today and in the future.

Loïc Mareschal has worked for the past 33 years as a landscaper in the Phytolab agency he founded. During his studies in botany in the 1990s, he discovered the field of landscaping on the occasion of several landscaping agency and university projects. In 1993, relying on his excellent knowledge base in plant life and his drawing skills, he decided to set up his own business. Phytolab developed gradually, working on a range of broader and more complex subjects. They now work on their projects via a pragmatic, sensory and empathetic approach, giving a true voice to the world of the living. Through this approach, all the elements of nature can play a leading role.
