A history of gardens

From promenade garden to public garden…
Sophie Cueille will be talking about gardens, whether private or shared, an image of power or a place of retreat, their history is a recent one. As a combination of the human and the plant, gardens are composed according to the taste of fashions and patrons, and to understand them you need to know their language and uses. From the ‘hortus conclusus’ to the urban stroll, the art of gardens is more than ever a source of pleasure and constantly renewed discovery.
